Don't bother with that. Just check in and then make your way to the Fairmont airport hotel lounge and have some nice tapas and some wobbly pops while you're waiting for your boarding time.

Things you don't like to see before flying in a couple days.
Airplanes catching fire.
Seems American had a plane catch fire in Chicago, and Fedex had one catch fire in Florida.

Always amazed to see people with luggage running from a plane on fire, my luggage would be the last thing I would think of let alone take the time to grab it.

can any New Brunswickian expat verify the assertion on this weeks QI that there is a waterfall in St John that periodically flows upwards? And has anybody actually seen this?

Along with Magnetic Hill it's an example of a backwards province.

That sounds like the reversing falls

I felt much the same about the Tidal Bore of the Chocolate River...I wouldn't go to do it again on further trips to Moncton.
I loved Irish Park though, one of the nicest, well marked, trail systems I've come across...I walked for hours saw lots of wildlife but didn't feel that one false turn and I'd be lost in the middle of nowhere.

I can imagine.
I can't believe they even call it a bore (not that kind anyway
) but people come from far and wide to actually surf it. People from the US last year and this year there were even a couple who came over from Bristol
to ride it (nothing to do with me). But they've got the Severn Bore just up the road.

The automated machine at US customs and immigration didn't like me. Put a giant X across my picture.
Got sent to a human who was very pleasent and polite.
The machines were not here 6 years ago, so much easier and quicker vs the old days.
CATSA had us go through the Nexus line as the normal line was long and nobody seemed to have Nexus based on nobody being in that line.
Glad we didn't arrive 3 hours like they say, arrived in shuttle 5:45 at gate 6:05.
As long as there are no delays at LAX where we connect, should be home by 2p in the nicer city to the south.

It shall be a little late then planned. The last flight is delayed an hour and some change. Late inbound flight.
As they say Delta stands for Does Eventually Leave The Airport...lol
Weird how everytime I fly Delta they run late. Can't recall ever getting to the destination on schedule.
They did upgrade us to Comfort Class Coach so a tad more leg room due to the delays.
