The building management company closed the parking garage today from 8am to 8pm to power wash it.

The location of the building has little street parking, and what is there has a 1 hour maximum time limit, and the residential streets around require a permit to street park which residents of the building do not have since we have a parking garage.

Not sure this cleaning thing was though out very well.

That's the funniest thing I ever heard.

Got some soap bars today, and the package has New Look! on it, and they did indeed change the look of the package, but what they don't say is they also shrunk the size of the bar.

Previously they were 113g bars, now 89.3g.

Anyone used one of those GoPro handheld Karma grips?

Random?

Ok got a random question in back of my mind. Having recently downsized and moved into NYC apartment and enjoying a less possessions lifestyle, was thinking to get a small pico projector rather than another massive TV like we used to have back in UK.

The AAXA M6 looks interesting. We've got big white walls here, just dying for a projector :) no space or baggage when we're not using it too.

Thoughts?

Big price variation according to whether small or smaller.

Something like this would never have occurred to me. But then I'm deliriously satisfied with my recent purchase of a 32" HDTV

My occasional whinge about those "affordable" weekly payment rip-offs:

The flyer delivered today. All-in-one desktop. 78 weeks @ $30.99 = $2417.
Or a 'bargain' $1680 cash price.

I understand how thirty bucks a week might be a tempting way to buy - I don't really, I'm just being diplomatic because I'd move heaven and earth to avoid spending an outrageous amount unnecessarily  - but the real issue is the cash price.

BestBuy currently advertises two equivalent for $999.99.

Amazon.ca is doing it - same make, same model for $778 and free shipping. Identical specs except 4gb RAM instead of 8. But $32 will put that right.

I'm a little dim I grant you but I've just had a revelation. Twitter is like BE just with more people.

Just made ten dry cups of basmati rice. Five of rice pilau and the other five saffron rice. It's for HID's community lunch thingy or something, anyway she volunteered me to do it because she's a lazy fleabag. :frown:

No it's not, there is a limit to size of posts on twitter, but not on BE.

Correct, plus you can tailor your Twitter feed to the specific information and people you want to follow, and search or contribute to any topic on demand via #hashtag. There are similarities and differences.

Of course not, it's nothing like it. I told you I was dim.

Twitter comments make the news, but we're safe from ridicule outside of BE

I can follow BE. Every time I venture onto twitter - because of 'the news' - I can't work out who says what to whom or how to follow a 'discussion' :o:confused:

And God said to John, come forth and you shall be granted eternal life.
But John came fifth and won a toaster.
