Mother in law bought one of these a few days ago - down to $150 in Walmart.
http://www.tefal.co.uk/medias/AL8000...jQxYTU5Zjg1YjA Tiny amount of oil needed. Surprisingly good results. Obviously not as "good" (unhealthy) as deep fried chips but on a par with what they sometimes call Home Fries here. Carrots came out just like they'd been roasted in the oven and no doubt parsnips will too. This will be of particular advantage when there's a turkey in the oven and not enough room for the roasted veggies and the sausage-meat stuffing as well. Looking forward to doing some cauli in it. In the meantime, the deep fat fryer was given away on kijiji. |
Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
FilmOn has suddenly given me a 2 minute 'countdown' for viewing and then takes me to a page to subscribe - on the 'free' SD part. Strange. Camposat is only showing one channel too - annoying!

It's happened to me as well Siouxie. Missed Corrie and Emmerdale today. I'm not a happy bunny.

Sadly the other option given in that thread doesn't have 'Yesterday' or 'Really', which were the 2 channels I watched mainly. (Yes, 'Escape to the Country', 'Yes Minister' and other such drivel). Damn. Edited to add, got another place to watch https://watchbritishtv.com |

Nothing like it taking 45 mins to travel a whopping 16km.
Shaw's internet service seems to be going down hill. Or this area just has poor coverage or whatever, goes down near daily now, sometimes 2-3 mins, sometimes for an hour or more. |

Love the middle picture. As long ago as the 90s I used to look at people on their phones or texting at pedestrian crossings wondering what they used to do while waiting for the lights to allow them to cross.
