If you have a smartphone there's an app called PhotoScan (by Google) which is aimed at taking pictures of pictures and adjusting so that it comes out 'scanner quality'. It removes glare and can adjust colour balance etc.

Ill take a look for an app. Would come in handy. I have a whole shoe box of old photos.
70s and 80s era color photos are not holding up to time welll....lol
A black and white of my grandfather in the 50s looks better...
I certainly did not seem too happy the day that photo was taken though...lol

It is. I know 90s era photos are younger still but they seem to be holding up better.
I wish people in the past wouls have written names and dates on photos. I have a couple with no names and nobody living knows who they were.

Ditto on dates. I have some in albums where I can piece together dates, but the ones in shoeboxes are a crapshoot. Names I'm not that bothers about, if the person was important I remember the name otherwise I just take the fact that I don't remember the name as indicating the person wasn't that important to me.

It's a great cheap way to get your fish fix! We have people come into the shop every week just to get their cat fix because they have a shitty body corporate or landlord who won't allow them to keep pets.
