Re: The new winter thread - 2018-19
Lots today...I went to work when it was starting...but when I left it was still snowing and I couldn't get out of City Hall's car park...because no snow plough had been...I drove home and couldn't get into my road...because no snow plough had been! I had to shovel to my own house! I've just finished shoveling...can we all join forces for a rebellion please? Somewhere warm for the first meeting...how about a BE breakaway discussion ... Mexico/Dominican Republic/Tunisia?
It's well beyond a joke now...it's over the top of my hanging bird feeder

Today a chicken died. That's one of the joys of chickens, they're alive and then they're dead. Simple. The chicken was alive this morning but, by afternoon, was frozen to the floor of the coop and needed peeling off.

Or chicken socks or a heater.
I had four chickens growing up and I came home from school (grade 4) one afternoon and they were all dead and strewn across my back lawn. A couple of neighbours dogs killed them. The neighbours paid my Dad some money, it didn't make up for the chickens as they were really warm, sweet and cuddly and they gave you eggs.

Sigh... -17c and -24c with windchill tonight not as cold as it has been but the cold has permeated my lounge/office (which is a converted garage without insulation but with 2 hot air ducts that don't do a lot) and it's not pleasant more snow forecast for the weekend too
Roll on spring...........
