Night before last we had a couple of cm, but it's almost gone now.

We still have snow piled up around the place, the dog fence is still of no use for constraining dogs. Today we have high winds, falling snow, rain and lightning with sunny intervals. Four Seasons in One Day, like someone sang once.

The forecast I saw the last couple of days suggested 10-20cm but mostly up north. It did suggest the SW was going to get more than us in the SE.

We had a couple of cms and mid afternoon it was slush. I can't believe they sent the city ploughs out for it. About 3.00pm I looked out to see a completely not-white and very wet street. Not slush, just wet where it dissipated from cars going up and down. I noticed that a car had turned in the front of our drive and there were tracks in the shape of a W.

Immediately after the city plough passed, I looked out in disbelief and saw it up the street definitely with blades down. There was no ridge across the driveway, not even a little one. The W looked exactly the same, with the same marks right up against the wet surface of the street. Nothing was pushed at all.

Clearing nothing. Probably making some money to make up for the overall lack of snow. They only came for storms twice in February and once on the 4th March. That must be a record.

So, after Winter arriving early, it now seems hurricane season has come early too.

New snow overnight on top of the ice on the front steps, very slippery.

Only another few months of it.

Don't. I am sure there are plenty who don't feel sorry about you having to live in Saskatchewan

Do you have something against Saskatchewan? Maybe you'll get sent here to toss RV's for whiskey and guns down on the line all summer.

Last week it was nice up in Kootenay Pass, just a few hours of fog each day, but the snow came back. "It's never really safe up there until June" (A&W server in Midway).

Snow again this morning. Proper snow. I'm beginning to wonder if President Trump might have got things a bit wrong. Perhaps the world's scientists are on to something in saying that the weather is getting more extreme.
