Nice.

I'm trying to decide whether to put my left over posh steak (from the Keg) in the lunchtime or breakfast thread. I think the lunchtime one, that way the large can of lager I'm going to have with it won't seem so gauche.

She's doing very well thank you. I just sent her this and I got free delivery, although she had to go round to her neighbours to watch it as she hasn't got a DVD.

Those sound like proper pancakes, not those crap American type ones. Then they cover them with that sickly syrup stuff. Its disgusting.

They must of put peas back on the menu.

Today I had a sausage sandwich. It was a bit of a poncy one though(white wine and shallot flavour) so i was a bit reluctant to soil the thread by mentioning it:o

I'm thinking of attempting a chicken tikka masala sandwich with the leftover chicken tikka masala we had for our tea last night. Has anyone else tried such a thing and if so, how did it turn out?

I've been reheating last night's chicken curry but there's lots of rice so no sandwich. It's ready now!

It was a delicious success although the next time I might experiment by adding a popadom.

We used to order from Torino's on Kingsway back in the day, (or occasionally Flying Wedge) but sadly the owner retired long ago. They were excellent, old school Italians and he resisted selling to Vietnamese and HA who wanted it for a front until he was good and ready to go, then it became a really bad Chinese place. I'll ask my friend who their go-to pizza man is now.

Marcello Pizza on Commercial Drive has very good pizza. Proper pizza not the horrible doughy North American stuff. I might go there for my tea tonight although that's a topic for another thread.

The Mrs and I ate at the local "Irving" gas station diner. It's actually better than it sounds in a solid home cooking way. We had beef and cheese melt sarnies with a bowl of soup. Turkey veg for her and pea soup for me. Stick to yer ribs Newfie food. And none the worse for that!

Are you sure you will be able to afford one of these after paying for flights to the mother country?
If you can, do report back!

I bet it isn't as nice as it sounds, though.
