Got to go out for lunch today as we had a big cheese come to town and he didn’t bring his sandwiches. So had a rather splendid steak with mash potatoes and for a moment got quite exited to order peas only to subsequently find out they were weird little ones in their shells.

The ones I had were dreadful as you are apparently meant to eat the whole pod. There was some nice looking grilled asparagus that arrived at the table but our esteemed colleague snaffled them all up in quick fashion. :(

Edited to note: I managed to fit in a large ice cream Sunday with chocolate and caramel sauce for my pudding.

There's a place in Granville Island market that does okay ones but they're very spendy and they also look horrified if you don't want it heated up.

:D

It's a street name just off the seawall on the west side of the Wicklow

Everything is home made. Bread, muffins, croissants with stuff inside, Italian food, sausage rolls, and more.

They even make a fresh pizza of your choice if you ask them. They're Italian you see :)

Re: Lunchtime Choices

I find Saturdays lunchtime choices to be a bit tricky. Weekdays are a packed lunch or go out for a treat and Sundays is a roast of course. Too much ambiguity on Saturdays for me. Today I had pot stickers and bowl of noodle soup, which was little later than normal, and now I'm afraid it'll mess up my tea. :(

Today was walnut and cranberry bread, buttered, with fresh fruit on the side and freshly squeezed OJ.

That‘s right, it‘s an old wives‘ tale. I had:
175 ml Minestrone Soup
1 each LS Turkey on Brown
63 grams Marinated Veg Salad
1 each Apple Juice
125 ml Fruit Cktl Uns Drnd
1 pkt Crackers
1 each Lite Miracle Whip

They aren‘t giving me nearly enough morphine to make me appreciate this stuff.
