Do we know the police said anything? Some journalist quotes an unidentified person, people read the paper and all hell breaks loose.

Still, I guess it's all justified, what else are people to do when they feel aggrieved?

That is what I meant. Police shootings are highly stressful and confused...if ihad a bullet in my radio, and knew a firearm had been recover I would probably assume it was bad guys. Our demand for immediate answers causes the police to jump the gun at times and media officers are simply reporting snippets of information they have personally ben given. Add media spin.......

I would agree that many ex- and current heads of comprehensives are part of a failed education system.

But you know what my point was - I think it would be a safe bet that most of the looters now have more TVs than they do GCSEs.

He's a confirmed carrier of an illegal handgun at the least and would have known the risk he was taking in that line of business. Looks like his choice was unwise in the end.

If I was a copper carrying a radio and found out that some other copper had been so inept that they actually shot me I'd be royally pissed off.

Wasn't that also true of David Martin? Before Stephen Waldorf was shot, instead, in a case of mistaken identity?

Perhaps the millionaire governors of the uk may heed these first warnings of discontent, as the western empires start to shrink , those who "have" protect their wealth, those who "have not" become the enemy and reach out and GRAB , there will be no status quo until the large banking houses are prepared to lower their profit expectations and put hugh amounts of cash into social benefit projects , these riots are the just beginning, because the less money in circulation the more competition, so come on you rich folk , stop the rot, the poor can`t

ricochet eh? I'm not convinced. You know these SO 19 types - get a gun and they think they're lewis collins or something.

Not that any of this matters anymore, that shooting is long past being a reason. I'm just wondering if these riots can become self sustaining, a bit like those tyre fires that never go out.
