Marmite lol... ah yes my first trip to England and I tried that... strange taste really... old socks...yet... not... perhaps the socks of a varsity cheerleader. After my first try I was certain I didn't want more, oddly several months later I sat down and stared at the wall a moment... bloody hell I was craving a bit of Marmite!

My mum said there was something wrong with my Canadian Marmite and she wouldn't eat it. Is this true?

My New Zealand co-worker made me try some of her Marmite on toast. I think I died a little inside.

Obviously I don't know a good thing when I taste it, though! I'll keep trying and one day it'll taste good ... right?

Yes, one day. But then the men in the black van will come to take you away.

<and welcome to the forum>.

Heh. "No! No!! I swear, it was gross! I was just pretending, so that my British friends would be impressed! Don't take me away in that scary dark van!"

And thanks for the welcome! Totally stoked to be here, man. Totally.

.. I imagine the marmite here to be much like the native trollops... just can't find a good high grade trollop anywhere here anymore.

*breaks into song* (to the Tune of Disneys Little Mermaid - Look at this stuff)

Look at this place
Isn't it neat?
Wouldn't you think our trollops compete?
Wouldn't you think that they're the girls
The girls who have everything?
Look at this trove
Treasures untold
How many wonders can one Tavern hold?
Lookin' around here you'd think
(Sure) we've got everything

I've got trollops and floozees aplenty
I've got hobags and bar-rats galore
(You want crackwhores?
I got twenty!)
But who cares?
No big deal
I want more

I wanna be where the skankies are
I wanna see
Wanna see 'em dancin'
Swingin' around on those
(Whad'ya call 'em?) oh - Stripper poles!
Trolling around you don't get too far
Legs are required for jumpin', dancin'
Strollin' along down a
(What's that word again?) street

Up where they reek
Where they drink rum
Up where they stink all day in the sun
Wanderin' free
Wish I could see
A quality skank!
