This is probably their best known track though.
I know the band, the wife beating one used to live around the corner from me.

Hot hot Heat weren't the worst thing I've ever heard here but only as background music. Their big downfall was they're Canadian and their lead singer was Carrot Top. So boring and ugly.

Canada imx is a very musical country, moreso than any other major country I can think of. Or maybe it's just Calgary, get a few people singing and usually someone has a guitar in the trunk of their car and very rapidly people start dancing too.

I suppose one could blame The Stampede, but perhaps its more a reflection of the local culture than the other way around.

It's easy to point out crap Canadian music and it's easy to point to annoying Canadian music but it's also possible to point to really good Canadian music so the point must be that Canada has a lot of musicians. In many genres.

Do you need to be called Cletus to attend such a function?

Not sure why, but that reminded me of Butlins, Pwllheli, back in the 70's

I think it's some sort of legal requirement in Calgary that you have to try out for the Young Canadians at The Stampede if you're in school.

I was going to say he probably walked in on a beer commercial.
As for Stompin' Tom, sheesh, as much as he's liked by so many, I still shook my head when he got the Order of Canada. I want mine now.
