Yeah I’ve heard of that! I may have to check that out afterwards

I've had a mini binge on "His Dark Materials" on HBO. It's been a little while since I read / listened to the books, but it does seem *very* faithful to the source material.

It's a movie but it's on Netflix.
The Man Without Gravity. Simply magnificent. You will laugh. You will shed a tear or two in happiness. I loved it.
How come masterpieces like this fly under the radar?

Too much stuff has always been the case though, just more too much now. At the same time, though, there are more good things. It's all in about the same ratio. I found I could find the good stuff (for me) in the old days and I can now. As well as rubbish, of course, but I don't stick with that.

I just started watching the latest season of the Crown on Netflix. I'm not sure how I feel about the new Queen 'Olivia Coleman' to be honest. Time will tell.

I've given up on HBO's Watchmen after 3 episodes. It's beautifully filmed with high production values and good cast but I haven't got a clucking flue what's going on. I'm not a comic book guy although I have seen the (pretty much universally panned) Watchmen movie. Ah well, just have to cool my jets until Dec 13th when the 4th season of the best Sci Fi show ever drops on Amazon:

I watched it with subtitles but I just checked and you can pick English audio as well as removing the subtitles.
These options are available watching via computer, stick or xbox but I don't know if available via the TV channel.
I dislike watching anything dubbed and much prefer the subs. But the little bit I just watched seems okay, possibly even the original l voices.

Condor
Based on a 1975 movie - Three Days of the Condor which itself was originally a book but 6 days instead - and considerably updated.
Entertaining enough. Second episode done.

Three Days of the Condor was an absolute classic ... Dunaway and Redford at their best, and a perfect reflection of the 'mood' of the 70s ... one of those movies I can watch over and over and over ...

I remember the anticipation as the new Radio Times was out in the late 70s and looking through the movies for recent offerings. Especially at Christmas for whatever 'season' was on BBC2.
