Quicksand on Netflix.
The aftermath of a school shooting together with the flashbacks of events leading to it.

A slow start and in episode two I was wondering how they were going to stretch it out to 6 parts while keen to see it out. But the episodes are over before you know it and it was well worth seeing through to the end over two evenings.

Always interesting to see the workings of a different legal system and its procedures.

Season one any good? I did see it's separate storylines like other shows with the same title but no obvious connection.

So...Gidseltagningen or Below The Surface, season one.

A bunch of passengers on the Copenhagen metro are taken hostage but there's a lot more behind the ransom demand than you think.
It's very well done and not the run of the mill hostage movie at all.

Looking forward to the second season so long as I can get it. iPlayer is somewhat elusive lately. May have to wait a week or so to find it.

Started watching Catch-22 tonight. Three episodes done so far, out of six.

Very good.

I never read the book Catch-22 so I can't say if it's faithful. I did see the movie a few times and always enjoyed it and I enjoyed this series too.

Apparently they tried to make a spin off series from the original movie just as happened with MASH and then the TV show. It didn't work and only a pilot was made.

No idea if it streams anywhere, but Lodge 49 on AMC is back, I really like it, Watched season 1 last summer. Don't know if there will be a season 3, ratings are not great, but reviews of the show are good, but AMC put it on its own this year vs last year when it followed Better Call Saul, but its an interesting show.

I am watching Life on Mars which I had/have never seen. I am then going to rewatch Ashes to Ashes and then Peaky Blinders.

Any good this season?

I have the episodes so far ready to go but I'm thinking of binge watching them on a rainy day when I'm not at work

It's keeping it's standards up. Or down, depending on which way you look at it.

I favour compromise, limiting these things to 2 episodes a day, but watched on successive evenings. Not overly keen on binge watching as it's all over too quick. I'm so used to watching things without having to wait a week that when I do watch something a week after the last part I'm out of practice and it takes a while before I make all the connections.

Or maybe I'm going senile.
