Boris joining team Brexit has already dropped the GBP-CAD$ exchange rate to $1.93 to the GBP. (XE mid-market rates). We're going on vacation to UK in August, so there may well be a window to purchase some GBP around the referendum date! Thanks Bozzer...

Prior to the referendum could the pound drop to 1.50 Cdn, then right after a NO vote it pops back up to 2.00 Cdn?

Imagine even with a small a $15,000 investment, one would get a 33% gain

Now, if it goes a YES vote, the market would have already factored in the FX based on that outcome. Then, within 30 days of the YES vote, after the dust settles, simply cash out the $15,000 investment.

I'll buy within one week before 23 June, if its in the 1.50 range

The SNP are Europhiles through and through. Their 'independence' demands consisted of being ruled by Brussels rather than Westminster. Because FREEDOM!

I could easily see a majority in England voting to leave the EU, but Britain forced to remain because the Scots vote to stay. That would just accelerate the breakup of the UK.

This was my point last year - if the Scots had left, the RoUK is much more likely to leave Europe, giving some of us a choice between a RoUK citizenship or Scottish/European. I knew which one I'd take (buy since have discovered you can actually retain both).

I saw Galloway on the Sunday Politics Show just over a week ago on the same panel as Stephensonofneilandglenys with Andrew Neil asking them questions on Brexit. Galloway was the only one who spoke with any clarity on the issue. No doubt Stephen will expect to further follow in the steps of his parents.

I see that sterling dropped a little today on the Boris and referendum news.
A cynic might wonder how many of his school and city chums might have made a few quid, knowing the man and chatting to him as they do.
