So Justin does an about face as one of his Liberal candidates ends his campaign for re-election.

Too late to run another candidate as the deadline for candidates has expired. So 1 Liberal seat already lost and nobody has voted yet

Seems there are at least 4 instances of unwanted and inappropriate behavior on the part of this man.
The senior staffer whose concerns initially brought the workplace review of the mans office wasn't permitted to be part of the review, and he was cleared of wrong doing.
I guess it would be easy to be cleared of wrong doing if you only take one side of the story.
"Female senior staffer who came forward and alleges Saini mistreated her denied that the system was rigorous. She said she wasn't allowed to take part in the workplace assessment, even though her concerns were what initially prompted the review."
"independent third-party review" of his office conducted through the House of Commons last summer cleared him of harassment allegations. It's that review the Conservatives are calling into question, as the staffer who made the allegations was not interviewed during the process.
Seems to go back to at least 2015 in some fashion.
"Several sources said four female staffers reported to a senior Liberal that Saini was acting inappropriately toward them, including "touching" or being "handsy," during a Liberal holiday party in 2015."
Apparently senior government official brought the matter to the attention of PM office including chief of staff, but they claim there is no record, well of course not, you tried to sweep it under the rug,
"senior member of the government brought those concerns to the Prime Minister's Office and Justin Trudeau's chief of staff, Katie Telford, sources said."
He also may have drove a staffer to try and end her life.

I got my voter registration card last week, but still no propaganda from the candidates. I might put a box on the step and label it to keep the mailbox clear. With 2 weeks left in which to campaign, it seems they are leaving it a bit late. As the leaders are given direct questions about the issues and are shown to deflect some of them over and over, I wonder which ones will be definitively answered before election day? Trudeau and Harjit Sajaan appear no closer to getting rid of rapey military officers, and O'Toole's stance on gun control is in doubt since refusing to answer a direct question 10 times in a televised q&a. Those who want to hang onto their military pattern semi-auto rifles now have been given hope, and those who believed his line about now supporting gun control will re-examine his platform. The hardcore racists that don't like the newer kinder face of the CPC can vote PPC, and those who think the Liberals don't provide for enough human services will vote NDP, in both cases splitting the vote.
I don't anticipate the outcome will be close in my riding.

PPC came by yesterday, only party who has come knocking so far, she wont win but she is doing better in the polls than the Greens, I am actually surprised NDP is polling not much lower than the Liberals, but eh this riding is going Conservative.

Real Kelowna looks like it's conservative safe as well, Greens polling better over there though.

This character has been an MP for ages, and he'll probably win Moose Jaw-Lake Centre again this year (language warning).

Even if he'd won, it would have just come back to haunt them, and with 2 weeks of news before election day just having him on the slate could cost them votes in other places as well.

No. This came out a week ago. Liberals first said “we were not aware†then that Saini will be running because the party has investigated him and already “followed the processâ€. Its only once it became clear that they fudged the “process†and that the public isn’t appreciating this level of hypocrisy that the candidate pulled out. They did an about face because not acting was costing them electorally.

Not a very diverse looking group of MP's.
BC is a little more diverse.
I will give the NDP leader credit for his better understanding of the younger generation and his use of platforms like Tik Tok than the other parties do.
He appears to be the only one utilizing tik tok, the other leaders are using Facebook and Instagram mainly.
Did you see last week the Premier Of Alberta while doing a live stream on Facebook was asked something by someone, and he replied with something something, don't believe everything you see on FB while using FB.... How are we to know if he is the one telling the truth.

If the Liberals were actually serious about zero tolerance for workplace harassment, they would have not fudged the process, and would have included the female staffer who made the initial complaint, but rather they chose to exclude her and so seems very one sided investigation of, well we asked him and he said he did nothing wrong, and we asked these selectively chosen staffers and they said the same, nothing to see here, move on.
If they were serious they would have included her while looking into the complaints, and booted him from the party, not wait until another person comes forward with even more evidence which apparently they can't spin because he dropped out.

Longest serving female MP and she defeated at the time the sitting PM and survived the Liberal era where they lost all those seats, she is like wonder MP.
Other than that from google, I never heard of her until today and then googled her name.

In that riding we have:
Liberal candidate who is a housing speculator promising along with his party to fix that.
The conservative party candidate who has actively fought BC's speculation and vacancy tax.
Safe to say its unlikely either of those 2 are interested in trying to fix the housing problems in Canada.
Also a fair chunk of older, wealthy, homeowners who have 0 interest in the housing market changing because they being homeowners have vested interested in things not changing.
It's renters who lose the most, many of whom would prefer to own but being renters are not the majority of the population, politicians don't care if people are having to pay 50/60/70% of their income just to rent.

Jody was the first person to be elected in that new riding
The Granville riding actually has a lot more small houses, some with much older owners ........ for example, we have lived in a house that is now over 75 years old since 1972, and many of our neighbours have been here at least as long. Plus there are apartments galore, from the new expensive or expensive-not-worth-the money ones to 3 or 4 storey walk-ups built in the 1940s/50s/early 60s apartments that have been lived by some renters for over 50 years, with 20-30 years being average..
If anything, I would say that the tendency might be leaning more to the NDP ............ from older people who were NDP long ago, to younger ones who are attracted by the leader.
We got our voting cards on Friday, but have only had one piece of literature, and that came in about a month before the election was even announced from Taleeb. I think he has more of an uphill battle than he might think.
I still have no idea where my vote is going to go ............. I do believe in voting, with my philosophy being "if you don't vote, then you shouldn't complain about the government that is voted in".

She's really well known, and well liked.
Her son Pete Fry is a Vancouver City Councillor, affiliated with the Green Party.
