i made a lovely omelette; bacon, green onion, Cremini mushrooms, red pepper, Swiss cheese, some salsa on top and a slice of rye toast.

Those last 3 little potatoes I used for chips yesterday made twice as much as I needed, and since I had 2 little carrots left in the crisper, and 2 mushrooms, and because I prepared 2 pouches of corned beef instead of one for my sandwich (ok, it was premeditated), corned beef hash and Frank's Red Hot it is.

My favorite breakfast choice would two over light on a plate with a side of extra crispy corned beef hash
or
eggs Benedict.

Edit: Instead I settle for a low fat yogurt with slivered almonds mixed in. Gotta feed the bones!!

My late grandfather called all soup "kail". To him, the only type of soup was broth, and kail is a Scots word for broth. It presumably originates from when the poor lived on cabbage broth.
"Whit's fir tea the nicht, Mary?"
"A guid plate o' kail."
"Braw!!"
