Re: Anyone care to defend this lunacy?
ooooooo I knew that I recognised the blonde daughter on the Telegraph article....have a look at this!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1j73o8lric Obviously being humiliated on national TV by Simon Cowell was not enough for them.....a newspaper article was needed to complete the shame. They obviously were not too fat to stand in the queue with 1000's of other hopefuls waiting for an audition!! |

Re: Anyone care to defend this lunacy?
Hmmm any TV producers out there? why not combine the weight loss reality TV format with the "give me a job" reality TV format and chuck Gok Wan (the only man whose name is an obscene anagram) for good measure.
Sorted :D |

Yeah, I worked in Jackson, Mississippi for a bit. NJ always come to mind though because the OH, who's from CO, had endured years of reading internet posts about "fat Americans" without any comprehension. Then we hubbed through Newark and the scales fell from her eyes. Half the people in the airport looked like the featured family and were wearing jackets with casino logos.

Re: Anyone care to defend this lunacy?
I honestly think its inexcusable to be so over weight that you put your health at such a serious risk, and even worse when your children think its ok to be over weight and lazy. That comes from the mentality that they deserve to have everything without having to contribute anything for it, Kudos to the younger one for at least having a job!
However, I want to say that some people are not clever enough to feed themselves properly, some people dont know how to cook proper food and some of them have been 'fed up' by people who think they are doing the right thing, these people are on benifits sometimes because they are NOT clever and they are stuck in a cycle, these people are not like that, they ARE clever and working the system to their advantage and getting away with it, if they can pose for photos and stand up they can sit on a chair behind a till and work in ASDA, or some other supermarket, and by doing so will be loosing weight, being more active socially and physically and also having access to better food information. |
