You would definetly want to switch to PR after getting any temporary visa. That what people do. After getting 176 your 475 will be cancel. You will get all the benefits of 176. Then it is upto you to work for your employer or not, because you don't have to worry about your employer visa.

I would suggest not to apply both of them simultaneously. If 475 is approved later than 176, all your advantages of PR will be cancel with all the restrictions of 475.

Yes it probably means that. It could also mean that the CO is waiting for the results of some checks. Best to just sit back and relax.

Thanks for the correction. I had a doubt on that point.

Anyway, one can apply for both. The later granted visa will be valid thereafter.

I suggest Dont do this. U have to demonstrate that u really want one state to sponsor u and u really want it. Not that u want it just because u want to get u case processed.

Its worth pointing out that I'm only even considering applying to a 2nd state in case I get rejected by my 1st choice, I've done my homework & chosen based on employment prospects and cost of living.

Hi All,

Congrats to the new VISA holders - fantastic news for you all!

Just check my online status and all docs now marked as "Met" - including PPC and Medicals (previously finalized n front page and requested on checklist)!

1st July and there is movement!!

Positive thoughts to all "enjoying" the wait!

When you all say your checking your online status are you going to the Document Checklist page? or is there another page I am just curious because I know others have said that nothing changes in there application but I have required and message on these sections and have had for over 20 plus days now. Just curious to know if there is another area where i check prgress?

AFAIK, there is only one place to check. The message: doesn't it have a link or button enabling you to view what the message is?

Mine shows all of documents as required even though they should have everything except for perhaps the meds which are probably still working through the system
