I'm an IT Project Manager but I've looked on all the state lists and it's not on any of them.
What is an 'off list' nomination?

Due to recent Australian Immigration Department rulings regarding visa processing times, your subclass 175 visa application is likely to take 24 months to be processed from the time of lodgement i.e. January 2009, rather than the 12 month processing time advised at the time of lodgement, which was current at that time.

Please advise if this development regarding processing time affects your planning for Australia or not. Should you wish to enter Australia sooner than the estimated completion of visa processing i.e. January 2011, then please advise us so that we may research other options, which do exist, in order to expedite the processing of your current visa application

This is certainly a shock for me so I thought I'd share it with you all to see if your agents have told you the same thing?

James
i had been waiting since dec 07, that is going 20 months now...i was not told by my agent (what you had been told), but i had no choice but to wait due to the number of changes in the processing....so i guess it will just be 4 months to wait for me...

Thanks Aman I'll have another look to make sure.
The worst thing is my agent told me to do my medicals and pcc's at the time of applying so those will both expire now and I'll have to go through all of that again....never mind the cost!

Good Luck in whatever you choose!
Hi Jenny

Do you know is this the same or similar time frame (24 mths) for modl but non csl?

i've thought about ss, but to be honest 24 months is a long time to have to stay in a place if you dont like it, or can't get work there etc. don't really want to be tied to one state for these reasons especially with the job situation as it is. Are you going for ss?

thanks, b

Are you a state sponsored applicant? If yes, have you checked with your state if they have forwarded your form 1100 to DIAC?

This is what we got when we sent a mail to WA:

"Your agreement has been received and the 1100 endorsed and sent to DIAC.

We do not normally acknowledge receipt of agreements or dispatch of 1100.

The forms are usually sent to DIAC within a few days of receiving them, although this can sometime take up to a week depending on workload."

When did you apply for your visa and when did you send your form 1100 to WA?

Normally they say that these need to be uploaded with in 28 days, though I am not too sure how strict they are with this time line.
