It's the same agent.

We've found them prompt in responses too.

When I asked them why they had sent our application paper they told me they were having problems with online applications and said that their wasn't any time difference in applying paper. Yeh right!!

I last e mailed them on the 10th July, to be told they had been receiving visas for Nov/Dec applicants and as we were Feb we should hear something in about 2 months. So I've not contacted them since.

Will keep you posted.

We too used The Emigration Group spoke to someone in June and he told us about 4 weeks for our visa. Spoke to him this week and he says that the visas are trickling in at the mo. Asked him about contacting DIAC and was told you'll be basically put to the bottom of the pile if we did. I've come to the conclusion that agents must be on commission for non contact with DIAC.

We were told the same, so we said don't contact them if you think it's a bad idea, but they went ahead anyway.
So that obviously put us straight to the bottom.
What I don't understand is that others on this forum have been persistently contacting DIAC and have either managed to get visas or been allocated case officers, so it can't be as bad as they say. What do they expect you to do sit around twiddling yer thumbs for the next couple of years!

I don't get what these agents are doing, I really don't. There is a very interesting thread on here about the subject where it explains about people with very complicated cases but if you're a straighforward application it seems to me you're being robbed. Someone paid 4000 POUNDS and still had their application sent off on paper?! Outrageous! As for saying you get put to the bottom of the pile for calling DIAC - sounds like scaremongering to me. Or an attempt to keep you out of the loop so you don't find out how very little your agent is actually doing. Cynical - moi?

Whoooooooo! We have our visa
Feeling very miserable because we had to cut short our camping holiday in cornwall because of this lovely summer weather we are having................I checked our emails in the hope of that email we have been waiting so long for and there it was VISA GRANTED on the 14th August. I'm so happy, I have every emotion at the moment.
Just to give an idea of time line applied for 175 paperbase 8th October, Case officer 2nd July, Medicals 11th July, Visa granted 14th August.
Hope to be in North of Brissey by Dec/jan

Good luck to everyone who is waiting and congratulations to all who have their visa.

We are same, applied for 175 MODL in march 08, agent sent paperbased application, she said ours couldnt be done online . Their fees alone were approx £4000, then visa fees on top, whole process is a rip off, but if visas are granted, then it's worth it. Agent wont let us do meds or PCC's until we get a CO, just stuck in limbo. (like many others!)

Nice to hear some good news!
Its intersting to see that a poster from Feb was told Nov / Dec were being processed by Emmigration Group. We are Dec and they told me only last week October which is confirmed by our sucsessful applicant. Bloody fibbers
How long on average does it take them to process 1 months worth of paper ones ?
As I said before, not our biggest problem... our estate agent went bankrupt this weekend!! What does that say about the Shropshire housing market. Where are you from Welshies?

It is nice to hear some good news.

They told me on the 10th July that they were having cases assessed which were lodged with DIAC in Nov/Dec.

We're from Flintshire and the housing market is the same here, our agent has made redundancies, so there is only 1 person in the office now. What a pain for you having to start again with another agent. Wishing you good luck with it.

The Emigration group told us about 2 months ago they were processing Oct early Nov but since have said that visa grants are only trickling through.
