Feeling more positive today. After getting a co on 6th and having to reattach all the documents I was feeling a bit down in the dumps thinking that we wouldn't get the visa coz I mucked up attaching them. Also had to inform co that OH's 2 children who are not coming with us had had medicals and they were sent with ours as co requested them. Got an email from co yesterday to confirm the medicals and that had recieved the documents. Big relief. We are just waiting for some bits from OH ex, co wanted OH children birth certs, Statement from ex about custody arrangements and statement that they are separated. Also wanted ex's passport to confirm her ID. So she is sending all this to us. We are soooo lucky that it is all amicable between them as we have had no probs at all. The only thing outstanding is police check for OH 16 year old. She has the paper work but hasn't done anything about it yet so hassling her, going to do the new 10 day one. Our co seems to be on the ball which is reassuring.
ANyway fingers crossed to all those still waiting for co and visa

WE SOLD OUR HOUSE after the sale of it falling through two weeks ago we have sold it again and move out on the 28th of april. So all we need is the visa applied on 23 oct and have acase officer meds and police all fl so hope we get visa before we move out.

Not been on expats for a while either. We were appointed case officer 13 Feb, request extra documents which we sent a week later and not heard anything since! Each week goes by really quickly with checking emails.
hopefully some news for some of us next week.

We got our CO on 11th Feb who requested extra docs , which were sent off also.
We havent yet heard anything either but hopefully we will hear somrthing soon.

Same here, C0 requested for some more docs on 18/02 and sent them off on 27/02 but haven't heard from the DIAC since. .wish they would reply to you guys soon as well. .waiting is the hardest part I guess. .

Natalie!! Did they do the Employment verification in ur case?? I am worried as to where my file is lost in between?? I think it has something to do with low and high risk countries. As i m from India (high risk country), they might be doing more checks for my case!! Wat say people??

They just sent us a mail on Friday asking us to sign the Australian Values Statement and return it - which we did and we got the grant letter this morning!!
They never did any employment verification that we know of. My husband works for the only Telecomms provider in South Africa so maybe thats why?? We also sent loads of documentation to prove his employment such as "employment verification certificates", payslips (originals), letters from OH's supervisor etc. We are also a high risk country.
Hope yours comes soon.
