Hey well done to you, tell me how long did it take to get your visa from posting your meds.

We posted meds on 26 October but there was a cockup with my eldest sons medical, we were told he didn't need one but he did and his was posted on 16 November so I guess we would have had our visas a bit quicker if it hadn't been for that.

Hi,

I have lodged my 175 on 29/10/2007 and medicals on 02/11/2007. Plz see my signature for timeline. I'm sure the online 175 visa process may not take more than 12 months (guessing) even though i am from high risk country.

Cheers

As of 27 November 2007 the ASPC Admin Section is processing applications asfollows:

General Skilled Migration visas– Class VE, VF,VB and VC visas (subclasses 175, 176, 475, 476, 885, 886, 887, 485 and 487)
E-lodged (on-line) applications: 21 September 2007 :curse:
Paper based applications: allocations yet to commence

Must be ASPC is sleeping from last one month, still showing 21 Sep.

Cheers

Very to see they have not moved on at all. That means they have done 21 dyas worth of in 13 weeks since it changed on the 1st Sept Think it may be a long, long wait til they get to ours on 13/10

Do you get the feeling they are putting post Sept apps on hold whilst they plough on with the 136s etc as their dates change each week at a steady pace?

Goodness knows what they are doing at ASPC, very busy, judging by how long it takes to phone them!
Lets hope for some better news next week

I'm distressed Sam. I want to change my employer but i can't as i am on 457 visa. Every day checking online status but no luck yet. I'm guessing they put hold on Post September applications. What a fool am i being in OZ for 7 years and never seriously thought about applying for PR.

Cheers

Im in the same boat. Sent of for police checks last week recieved SCRO Report on Friday told to wait upto 40 days for NPC reports. Called agent who told me that it would be the end of Jan before they got communication back from DIAC. I applied on 5th Oct by the way.

Steve, yep sounds like it will be around then, but at least if you have your police checks done sat there and even have medical done closer to end of january, that in hope would cut about at least a month off process time. i have decided to have my x ray done this friday and leave medical examination untill asked or towards end of january. at least this way i feel like i am doing something and not just sitting waiting.

hey beth, my agents told me it takes about 10 to 12 weeks from when they recieve pcc and medicals to give final decission, so does not sound like you got too long to go.
