Well no luck again today. Only another 8 hours before they choose another CO to blind fold and turn three times and take a throw at the dart board.

Straight from the horses mouth, it was one of the ASPC call centre operators who was quite willing to give out the information, maybe I sounded desperate on the phone lol. IF you can get right person at ASPC you can get some good info but I have found this a rarity and it is purely down to luck. I just happen to have had the same person twice in a period of 2 months and found her really helpful, the rest I haven't found helpful at all and just get the standard line processing is up to XYZ date! Any additional info which is not personal I think we should all share because we're all in the same boat at the end of day.

If you apply online and scanning documents, make sure you send full versions eg birth certificates, marriage certificates etc..

Theres hope yet

So, in my case, it does not seem to have spurred on any great flurry of activity.....but it was only yesterday.......so I have hope !!!

Wow, had email of ASPC requesting further info, we just need to scan and email full birth certificates of our kids as I only sent the short version (cheapskate me), we have CO name and contact etc.. all other stuff frontloaded and assume is acceptable. Does this mean I may get a visa once they've looked at these?? Just wondered what timescales are from request to grant?

Any ideas anyone?

PS.. previous post was late response

AWESOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!!! I am SO RELIEVED other folk are seeing movement on this thread.

I think the time from request to grant depend on the individual CO. I seem to remember seeing other posts on here that talk about a couple of weeks but don't quote me

Unfortunately, as we have learned, there isn't really anything you CAN do. DIAC state that these visas take 12 months to process so until it gets to October 2008, they are still within their timeframes. You could try filling in a complaint form though, it has worked for a couple of us - although in my case I am onshore so qualified for faster processing in that respect. Good luck
