Don't see any problem with phoning ASPC yourself because its your appliaction after all. But out of courtesy you should contact your MA if you've used one though.
As far as timescales go it does wind me up something rotten to see everyone else getting visas in '08 applicants, but I wouldn't take anything away from those guys 'cos I would be pleased as punch if I was in that position and would be having a different conversation now.
But you know what, DIAC do seem to be a rule unto themselves and I feel even more sorry for those paperbased applicants from mid '07 who still haven't heard jack diddly.
I haven't used a MA myself but don't really understand why MA's are sending paperbased applications for their clients post Sept 07 when surely it would be more efficient to send it online.
If any MA's do read this, do you know if there are any reasons why processing times seem to be all over the place? Are you privvy to any more info than us minows?
Anyway heres still hoping and by the way I am up to 8 months and 23 days, but hey who's counting eh

I'm an online 20 dec 2007 applicant and I've been told by our agent that we are the oldest case he has on his files!! because of our complicated family circumstances ie my hubby has a child that he has only recently found out is his (child is now 15 years old, mother came forward to CSA after 15 years yes 15 years still can't believe the thought behind this, had to go through DNA testing and everything) We had to add him to our application as a non-migrating child even though we have no contact with him and we have had to send a solicitors letter to his mother asking that he attends a medical or that she signs a stat dec refusing a medical. The letter has been sent to her 3 times with no response. Our agent says for this reason the case officers won't be fighting to review our file.
I phoned immi this morning to be told post lodgement lines were too busy and I had been transfered to pre lodgement but they have no access to our file and so couldn't tell me anything and to file an online query form, waste of time!!!
Sorry if I'm doing nothing but moan but we sold our house 3 months ago and have lived with my parents since, things are getting very difficult, everything is packed and ready to ship including the dog and we just want to go now!
The thought that Christmas is getting closer and if we don;t send our stuff soon it won;t be there in time even if we have an house by then, who knows we could still be in the UK if immi don't get pull their fingers out.

I am sat at work with a massive grin on my face and nobody knows! Its a great feeling
I had got so used to the status being the same that I couldn't quite believe my eyes. At least my CO didn't take long so they were freed up for one of you guts

I'm the same visa as you but paperbased. I'll be getting a pension around the time I get my visa....

Wow I really had no idea that online applications were taking so long! I am so used to seeing people on the March applicants thread coming online to say they have visas!

This disproves my theory that they might have introduced some sort of system for the online applications, looks like it's just as chaotic as paper.
