Thank you for your recommendations.
Ive also checked the website/link and did find three agents listed on the MARA belonging to Migrationexpert.com and information about the employers are mentioned on their website so they might be ok then to go with but I will contact the agents youve mentioned above before hand as Ive been quoted £2500 for a premium service from 'migrationexpert', which seems quite high and also to be paid up front or is this about right? :0

Do you know if we would also have to approach the relevant assessment authority to have our skills assessed - VETASSESS or should this be included in the package which we take out (with which ever agent we use)?

OK, well done for finding the info, I couldn't see it anywhere so that's good anyway. As for VETASSESS the Agent will help but obviously the fees will be extra to what they will charge. I didn't use an agent so no idea what's involved in a 'premium service'. If it were me and I was laying out that sort of money, I'd definitely get a few quotes. Most reputable ones will give you a free initial consultation to ascertain the basic ins and outs so worth checking. Good luck.

I agree

You really don't need a migration agent. You can get all the info from this forum and do it yourself.

Would have to agree there. You can do it Yourself. Unfortunately I had mucked up my attempt to do the TRA wasted money and found help with an agent to sort it. Only found this site about a year after. It is easier than you think. Just check and double check before sending paperwork in and if indoubt ask on here.

For skill assesment phase i found australian immigration website and respective assessing authority website is enough for all necessary information. For additional info this forum can guide.

Recently i applied for skill assessment to Engineers Australia on 17 Feb2012 and got the positive outcome today 24 Apr 2012.I did it all without help of any agent.

During this time i sent few emails to EA when needed.
My application was fully under my control i knew all about the sratus. . .But if there was an agent in the middle i could not do that. . . .

So you can move without any agent.
If you really need support this form can help you. . .

Best of luck.

Just looked at their website. They don't give any of their agents names, don't mention MARA or MARN, don't give a business address so there's no information to check out. They may be legit but I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole if they can't give basic info. Go to the MARA website and chose one from there.

Default Visa company, recommendations please

Hi

Can any one recommend a company that deals in Australia visa applications?
First hand recommendations would be very helpful.

Thanks.

Any MARA registered agents should be good but main recommendations on here would be George Lombard, Alan Collett, Ian Harrop. A quick google will give you their details.

Default ICT and TRA Migration Agent Wanted?

Hi,

Can anyone recommend an agent that is specialised in ICT skills assessment via the TRA. It seems the skills code that im applying under is unique to the TRA whereas most ICT skills are accessed by the ACS. Im struggling to find some sound advice whether its even worth putting in my skills assessment.

Thanks

I know they should be Mara registered but ant reputable agency suggestions would be appreciated. I almost signed up with **************** but found a lot of negative feedback. Any recommendations?
