GENERAL SKILLED MIGRATION ADELAIDE
PROCESSING INFORMATION FOR THE WEEK COMMENCING:
19 January 2009

This is an automated e-mail response which provides weekly updated
information on skilled migration applications being processed by the
Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre. Please do not reply to this email
address. This mailbox is not monitored. Our contact details are listed
below.

ASPC APPLICATION ALLOCATION INFORMATION

On 17 December 2008 the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship announced
changes to the way General Skilled Migration applications will be allocated
and processed. Details can be found on the DIAC website at:
http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener...hats-new.htm#j

As a result of this announcement from 1 January 2009 applications for
General Skilled Migration will be strictly allocated and processed in the
following priority order:

1. Applications with a successful State & Territory Nomination (until
all applications have been allocated); and then
2. Applications where the nominated occupation is on the Critical
Skills List (until all applications have been allocated); then
3. Applications where the nominated occupation is on the Migration
Occupations in Demand List (until all applications have been allocated);
then
4. All other remaining applications

This affects all applications lodged before and after 1 January 2009, both
paper lodged or electronically lodged. Applications which were already
allocated to case officers before 1 January 2009 are un-affected and will
be processed as usual to finalisation.

Applications are now being allocated as follows:

State & Territory Nominated Applications:
Subclass 134, 136, 137, 175, 176, 475, 487, 495, 885 and 886 applications
(processed by the ASPC and where a successful State or Territory Nomination
is held) will all be allocated to case officers for assessment by 13
February 2009.

Applications with Occupations on the Critical Skills List:
Applications are not being allocated at present

Applications with Occupations on the Migration Occupations in Demand List:
Applications are not being allocated at present

All Other Remaining Applications
Applications are not being allocated at present

Subclasses 485 and 887 are not subject to the above changes. The
allocation dates for these subclasses are as follows:

VC 485 (paper): 06 March 2008
VC 485 (E-lodged): 25 February 2008
VB 887: 19 August 2008
Some interesting changes in ASPC processing center

now there is no clear picture revealed after looking at the aspc weekly updates....as such 175 subclass has become a puzzle....everybody is wondering why DIAC chaps are considering it in state / territory nominated category......i m a feb 08 applicant 175 e-filed, HR country, MODL + CSL......it always about some more patience.....instead of discussing why 175 is categorised in this way...lets wait until 13th feb 2009......if DIAC allocates a case officer to 175 visa applicants then its ok....if then dont.....that too is ok......what else can we do......by the way....anybody else has applied in FEB 08, 175 category.....?

i go mad when i imagine that if still CO is not allotted after damn waiting of a year.....when the final visa shall come into my hands......my meds expire in May 09.......and DIAC people are now guiding that one should not be uploading meds and clearances unless told by CO.......

I've just subscribed to this site after being a silent watcher for a month or so. I've found the discussions really useful and feel that i'm not the only one out there desperate for news!!! I applied in sept 08 for a 175 and am anxiously waiting as well, even though I try to not to check my online status too often!!
I'm hoping we'll hear something once all the 176's have been allocated case officers by 13th Feb.

I posted my paper 47es on the 12/01/09, arrived on the 16/01/09.
Had e-mail 20/01/09 requesting medicals which should now be arriving at LCU.
I am applying for Labour agreement subclass 120 as an Intensive Care Paramedic in NSW.
I was aware that the application would be fast tracked but the speed at which this is happening after waiting for so long is frightening!!

hi flair.....as such now i m not following the MODL list but i m looking towards the CSL list as the processing priority has CSL before MODL....i do not understand what is CISSP?...please be careful in doing any such change as u suggested...if possible ask an agent....bcoz one of the candidate here in my town did something like that and ended up getting his application rejected...DIAC people said its doubtful in which profession he had applied....its better to wait than confused the DIAC people........one more thing my friend, whenever u get CO allotted, let me know immediately through this thread...bcoz my application date is 3 feb 08 just the next day after yours.....good luck
