Sorry you have not heard anything, and to all those still waiting.

We lodged ours on 29 August, but for a while there we were taking the date it was sent as the date of lodgement which was wrong, that is why we were flapping.

God, I hate saying this (because you are probably fed up with hearing it) but I am sure you will get your acks very, very soon.

Was just wondering if anyone has had their meds done in Edinburgh? The price list we were given wasnt very clear!! and we are not sure how much we are going to have to take with us on the day (2adults an 1child) Can anyone help?

Hi Debbie,

we did our meds in Edinburgh. Our xrays were done at Murrayfield and were £80 each and our meds were done at the Morningside Practice. They were £125 each plus an extra £25 for any other blood tests. We only had adult quotes so I don't know how much it would be for a child, sorry!

Stuck on dial up at the moment, all the lists take bloody ages to load ( have we all given up on be updates) . Sorry if this has already been said but think DIAC will only give info to an agent if you have used one. Read about someone trying to contact them and being told that they couldn't deal with them direct. Think it also say's this on the website, only way is to drop your agent and send an email to say that you now want to deal direct with them.

Hi, we had our meds done the same places as Yvonne (as I couldn't be bothered to shop around so I copied her!) and they were great. Same as above for adults £60 each for kids medical (ours are both under 11 so didn't need x-rays). Since being on here it seems a good £ rate. They seemed really organised (already knew address to send to etc) and put us at ease- my hubbys blood pressure was through the roof at the start but the doc took it again at the end and it was ok thank god!

Our meds were £85 per adult, £55 per child, blood tests £15.00 each (HIV, HP B, HEP C) - But we was only charged for 2 blood tests each!!......then Xrays £65.00 each! (x2)...............pretty good I reckon, and the docs were really good and very child friendly

Let's hope next week case officers are ready to grant all those lovely full acks and VISAS for us Augustees after their Easter Break ! (PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE)

Have a nice weekend.
I usually look forward to a break with the kids but I will be counting the days. If I don't hear somethingnext week I'm going to kill myself . Its been seven months now . I've just gone ahead and agreed to the cash buyer, that he can have our house. So, unless he agrees to rent it back to us in May. We will be homeless. Can't go on like this. Need to move on and get my kids settled in Aus. My OH Lee really wants to go NOW!!!!. Weather isn't helping. Forecast isn't looking very good for the weekend either.
