I am just trying to figure out my options, at this point i am innadmissible to US any way, so i guess we would get an escort right back out.

Hi, i just realized you landed at Coutts, isn't it closer to go to Carway? I think is about 70Km less. Or is there another reason you picked Coutts?

Otherwise and certainly in the future we will go to Carway, or Chief Mountain in the summer.

Agree with Mad Jockette, feeling the pain of everyone still waiting when I heard this news about Buffalo.
I think the handful of us who got our COPR a couple of weeks ago were just incredibly fortunate.
Our file did go onto Detroit from Buffalo though for COPR issuance, so you may have already gone off elsewhere instead being sent back to CPP Ottawa.
Really frustrating and hope you all hear very soon.

us poor souls that were being processed in Buffalo are not too hp about the transfer either, i'm apparently awaiting review by a criminlity person, so I believed that even if there was only one such person in buffalo, at least my file would be somewhere on his/her desk in a big pile. This is the last step before ppr and after waiting nearly a year already I was hoping I was pretty close (this is a spousal outland application btw).
Now it's going to god knows where in Ottawa, to be looked at by god knows who, god knows when. That's if it gets there or gets looked at at all what with all the shuffling about

We estimated, based on timelines and some stuff in our CAIPS notes that we should be done by 5th July, or at the latest mid-August. Now, I worry that a bit more time will need to be added to account for a surge of applications landing on some poor guy's desk in Ottawa.
On the other hand, Ottawa have been quite quick to process cases sent to them by Buffalo in the past. God knows just how many applications are being sent though.
One plus for me, hopefully when it comes to getting the COPR and submitting passports, I can nip out in my lunch hour to do it, rather than a trip down to Buffalo. Although to be honest, I'd rather have the trip to Buffalo and get PR next week, rather than another 2 months wait for Ottawa.
Mandy, I feel your pain!

I'm half and half with this to be honest.

How do you find out where your file is? We're waiting for medical requests but no idea where from...

For those people who already did get PPR from Ottawa, how long did it take to get PPR once your ecas went to IN PROCESS? I am already at the 15 months mark, i wonder how much longer it will take..
I doubt it will be further transferred to another consulate after detroit. Once Ottawa sends PPR they will ask you to send your file to another consulate but I dont think they will transfer it any further. Ottawa is the new center for PR Applications for within Canada!!

seems as though Ottawa is the new centre for just about everything. I actually feel for the staff there - imagine one day their bosses coming in and saying "hey great news all - as of next week your workload will increase by at least 50% - isn't that some kind of awesome. And to show our appreciation - there's a box of Timmies donuts in the staff room. KTHXBAI"
