As far as I am aware, and I will be corrected if wrong. The files are dispersed due to high volumes.

Has been 4 weeks so far.
Our file was transferred Feb 22nd and we haven't heard a thing from Buffalo

We paid all our fee's before we had our medicals, so there shouldn't be anything holding up our PPR??...

Seattle asked me for an updated letter from my employer to inform them that I was still employed by them, my 2010 tax assessment, as well as the photocopied passport pages and our RPRF.

My employer was surprised by the request for the letter and tax assessment. They had never been asked for that before now.
These were all received by Seattle on 9th March. Just awaiting the COPR, hopefully very soon

Good luck

Everytime I check the post box afterwork, I get a little butterfly, then it is the sinking feeling- no registered letter today!!!!!!
it should be here very soon.

Seems to be little consistency in the messages they give to applicants when they transfer their files on from Ottawa.....ours just said

"The Canadian Consulate General in Seattle will complete the analysis of your application and determine if a personal interview with a visa officer is required"

along with

"Do not request the status of your file within ninety (90) days of the date of this letter"

Our rental lease is ending, our UK tenants want to move out and we don't know if we should sell up and buy a house here or not - get a bloody move on people!!!!

Sorry - rant over

I really doubt they contact you in 3 weeks. I have been waiting for 5 weeks after my file was transfered back to Buffalo and still havent heard anything. I hope you hear back soon though.

Rant all you like, I understand your frustration. We have daughter going to Uni this year now back on hold again, we also are hoping to buy our own place and feel more settled as soon as we get PR.

Why some are being told as little as 3 weeks and the rest of us left with 10 weeks, 90 days, 120 days etc is just beyond me? Please, please get a grip on it

I got tired of waiting so I emailed Ottawa, they replied right away and told me my file has already moved to Buffalo and I should forward my email to Buffalo instead. I just did that and no reply yet.
