Nope nothing whatsoever .. I am assuming they have decided to do our backgrounds check before sending medical requests .. usually these are done side by side! Think it depends on the visa officer looking at your file .. who can fight CIC hey

Unusual, you'll be receiving medicals soon. You are not going to receive 18 months letter for sure as you have already sent your updated docs. Good news should be on its way soon for u !!!

Medicals completed yesterday! Took just over an hour for the 2 of us to be done, bloods taken, then a medical check over and urine sample with the Dr and finally the chest x-ray
Dr said all fine with both of us, she said she would call us if any problems with blood or urine samples but should be ok
Cost was EUR305 each
Now more waiting but at least it's the last stage

We got PPR yesterday!!!!! We did our medicals in October and sent in further updates in November and were beginning to get a bit worried about the wait. We can now start to make plans. We are going to land in July and hopefully go out for good summer 2014.
for everyone else on this thread who's waiting for good news!!

If all goes smoothly we're hoping to get PPR in a couple of months time and land sometime in June

Wouldn't be so sure about that...we started ours (Tony's and mine) in mid-October, finished (Kids' medicals) in mid-January, still waiting for PPR and not really expecting it anytime soon. Not sure why, just a hunch. Others might call it disillusioned or depressed tho! LOL
Anyway, fingers for all of us.
