All the best for 2013 then and your move over....Let me know as soon as you receive your COPR because looking at your previous posts although we received passport requests the same day, your status showed 'decision made' two days before us. I know it will be a little different because ours has to be posted to us here in Canada instead of UK, but it will give me some indication.

Well we officially landed in Canada yesterday. We did the flagpoling at Lansdowne, 1000 Island crossing. We went and shopped at watertown. The whole process was very easy and the Canadian Immigration Officer was fantastic and made the process easy and pleasurable. I had packed a copy of our application, a letter confirming my husbands employment, a wage slip etc. He didn't ask to see any of it, just our COPR and passports. It was a great day and we are happy to be able to rest easy knowing we are now PR of Canada.

Good luck to you all still waiting! Hope you all have the same news soon

As I travel for business a lot I asked about re entry whilst waiting for the PR card, the border agent Saunders that this was not possible as the COPR was not for travel purposes..... It seems that if I travel now while waiting I may be denied boarding at the airport.

Has any one had this same experience?? Also to every one else make sure you do not need to travel for 6 weeks after landing!

Why do CIC not put this in the information they send??

Roger
There is so much difference of opinion on this. My hubbie also travels for work and he asked about travelling during the card wait. The immigration officer told him that he would be fine travelling as we have british passports! Anyway he sees it from a immigration point of view I suppose, he said that the stamp in our passport is proof enough to immigration that you have PR status! I suppose it depends on the airline and who you get at immigration....its a hard one! I think hubbie will get a permit to travel just in case! It is ridiculous really, the COPR is proof enough surely! Its paperwork and form completing gone mad
