Sorry but I have to disagree - Goa is overrun with unwanted cows and calves. It would be much better if it was legal to kill them.

I`d rather put my money in the mouth of a cow and calf and a guy suffering from leprosy than a beggar on the street with a dirty baby.

I`m probably in the minority then cos most of the people caring for these neglected creatures are vegetarian....Im not....but I cant bear to see animals suffer ...I don`t want to see these animals slaughtered and nor does the Hindu guy I know who is supplying the sugar cane juice for Mama cow at cost price. Please remember guys that the cow is a sacred creature in India!!

Also mother cow actually opened her mouth today and moved her lower jaw around.......such progress.....she`s been surviving on liquids only for 10 days....
A very generous russian lady donated 5000rp to help these animals and thats paying for soya millk and sugar cane juice to get mummy cow back to health.........

Following on, from the discussion of the price of veterinary medicines in the 'Tic Fever' Thread:
A UK friend's cat developed an overactive thyroid and was in danger of heart failure. The prescribed carbimazole tabs. from the vet, were £40 per month!! certainly stretching their budget.
We obtained a 6 months supply in one of the Karwar pharmacies for equivalent of about £4 a month.
We always take back to UK a supply of amoxicillin caps. to keep at home in case of future family need.
