Re: GOA - Buyer Beware!
Well spotted Simon !
Did you or your show biz pals have anything to do with it ? After all the "suspended" ( or possibly Sached ? ) J. Ross's Pa in law DOES live in Goa
Seriously though I think ITV need to be made aware of ALL facts concerning property "purchase " in Goa,warts and all.
I am sure some of you out there are intelligent(devious) enough NOT to give ITV your REAL names or emails for now ?
After all if the BEEB on "Have Your Say " kept their promise of confidentiality I am sure ITV will do the same.
So get contacting them Its our big chance

[QUOTE=Goacrazy56;6925749]Hi 1s Cowell I think everyone that has contacted the foreign office about the property situation for Brits in Goa has received the same standard letter,If I collected them all up I could decorate my lounge with them. QUOTE]
Posh c*w - stop showing off about having a big lounge! Have you seen UK gas prices lateley? & electric prices lately?

At least it's not as bad as a good few years ago - do you remember the 'activists' in Wales?
The 'joke' ended up being: come home to a real fire - buy a holiday cottage in Wales. . . . . . .

yes, the Welsh Nationalists felt just like some of the Goans do now, but 20 years down the line the welsh villages where the 'outsiders' moved in have been rejuvenated, the traditional cottages have been restored, the schools have been forced to re-open, the local pub has had enough business to stay open, and the rates / council tax income has allowed to local authorities to maintain or improve services. I feel sure the same could be true in Goa

Re: GOA - Buyer Beware!
Hi,
I've recently joined the forum. I've been reading about all your experiences. I am considering buying in Goa and in fact will be traveling later this year to view properties. I was born in the UK but recently acquired PIO status which should mean I can legally purchase.
I was very careful to research my status and eligibility to buy both with Goan advocates, the Indian High Commission and a UK based international legal firm that specialises in Goa. I'm not sure I can do much more. If any of you know of any other checks that I need to make - please let me know.
Thanks
