Probably a hole in the ground with some kind of soak away with the liquid waste at least ending up in the sea. I would not swim in the sea around Briton either although some beaches are now certified as clean enough to swim from.

Zalor Beach - just down from Varca - is stunningly beautiful. Very very clean and very quiet.

One of our shacks has a flushing toilet this year. I think they are plumbing into the Life Guards facilities - septic tank maybe?

The areas they are referring to in the article in Goa Voice is the beach from Fort Aguada to Baga. The Creek pollutes it from one end, mostly from Sun City Resort and The Bombay Yacht Club, then the mighty Mandovi, full of effluent from Ponda, Panjiim and Mapsua moves it in from the other end.I'm quite surprised that scientific minded Goan hasn't complained in the press about the quality of the water flowing past the capital of Goa.They even held the tests to sort out the non swimmers for the post of Life Guard in The mandovi. Some times i think the Indian people are trying to create a super bug and chemical resistant form of human being to take over the world. I have watched in amazement children playing in the water at the mouth of Baga Creek at low tide and just yards up stream half of Karnatika are taking a dump at the waters edge !I think if they adopted the flag system used in Europe to denote how clean a beach was Baga would get a Khaki one.......

We had lunch at benaulim and walked down to Zalor. You have benaulim, varca then zalor. It's about an hours stroll to your left on the beach or 10 minutes taxi ride. Beautiful, stunning beach. And you can have a drink in Rosie's bar just a walk up and Travellers too - open all year around... both. if you don't like quiet then it's not for you. We love it!

Is this a joke? I am sure there are many non Indians who could tell them that investing in Goa is not safe.

Yes. We used to park the car at Pedros. Then walk to Zalor, many a time with a few dogs would join us, They would quite happily walk with us to heel. on the way back as we got near to Benaulim the dogs would stop, as if to say, I can't go any further with you now.

How much further is Zalor beach once you reach "Mama's Kitchen"? We like the stretch of beach both north & south of where "The Beach/Jupiter" used to be. It's much quieter walking towards Cavelossim than it is walking towards Colva.

Zalor is in between Varca and Cavelossim. It's very quiet. There are only 2 shacks on our beach and about 10 beds to each shack. Beautiful!

Two sites identified for marinas in Goa - Tiracol in the North
going to be very busy place if they get a golf course and marina:rolleyes:

sounds about right  after more than an hour, one person came with a printed flex banner which showed that there was permission for “repair” of a house when there was no house at the site ever in the past.

They could be put in a museum for all to see and money raised in that way.
