Dread - x there are detailled procedures laid down for DofE enforcements and although confiscation is possible there is a long appeals procedure and confiscation is [supposed to be] done by the govt of India NOT the State govt! If the 'forty thieves' are allowed to get away with this I can see confiscation of foreigners' property becoming a popular sport!!! AndyD 8-)# |

Re: In To-day's Newspapers
Ali-Baba is, apparently, quite happy with the ED going ahead with their enquiries. He and our BHC had a meeting scheduled for the day after our last meet. Is it too obvious to state there was no resolution of any kind arrived at? Couldn`t we have been given some kind of report, or is it confidential. The BHC are too busy looking for ways for allowing Indians to circumvent the UK visa rules. After all, its Shining India. (sorry that was last year.) This year it`s Incredible India. It`s bad enough the aam aadmi (?) believing the propaganda, but Brit officialdom, that`s something else.
Being flippant, has Stagg been seen, or heard of, since the Ali-Baba meeting? Maybe we should post him AWOL. More likely he hasn`t been missed. A complete breakdown in communication. Wally. Send me three and four pence, I`m going to a dance. |

Re: In To-day's Newspapers
I think it is interesting that the Goan Government has said that it has always wanted the "immediate removal" of the River Princess. I had not really noticed that this was the case. Can we have a sweepie on how long two months really is in Goa. I will take 20 years, any other takers?
