Price of petrol rises by 5rs.( Herald)

Petrol here is now very close to 65rs a litre (90p).
Two years ago it was 44rs.
I`m not suprised the locals only put 1 or 2 litres in their scooters
at a time. Its a big chunk out of their measly wages.

5000-6000rs (£70-£80 ) a month is considered a reasonable
wage for a driver or beautician .

I`ve heard its got expensive!

But compare wages in the UK and the price of fuel!

Fuel here (in Goa) is seriously expensive for the everyday common man.
For a lot of the people 5 litres of fuel is more than a days wages!!

Agree with you, but pensioners on just the basic pension are really suffering with the price of petrol, especially those living in the countryside with limited bus service, and the fuel heating prices !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Must say what I found had really got expensive was milk.

Chopper tourism to lift off in Goa with six helipads
15 May: Times of India. A helipad alongside Panaji's Mandovi bridge and five more across the state, including at Colva and Old Goa, are set to launch helicopter tourism in Goa

not for the faint hearted! I know a few people I would willingly pay to have a trip :rofl:
