We can't wait now - especially as the days are getting colder and shorter. Time is just slipping by and though we don't want to wish our life away it seems as if that is just what we're doing.

Hi,
If anyone would like to have a birds eye view of Siolim village or any part of Goa, go to www.wikimapia.org then click on Goa and start navigating to the location of your choice, the Acron map does help to find your way initially if you aren't familiar with the area.

Hi Rose and Mick - Thank you for your good wishes. Raziya and I had a great time in Goa, and we also met up with Dave and Sue. Construction at Villa Maria is proceeding smoothly and we can confirm that Villa F is now definitely under construction. Sadly, none of my photos shows any feature of Villa Maria better than the official photos on Acron site. We visited a few furniture and electrical goods shops. There seems to be plenty of choice. The site engineer, Neville Fernandes, was very helpful. It looks as if the work will be finished on time if not before.
Best wishes for 2007,
Chandu and Raziya

Hi Chandu and Raziya glad to hear you had a good trip and your pleased with the progress of the apartments we can`t wait now to see for ourselves. Did you have a look around Siolim I remember driving through it last year on our way to Ashvem beach. As our taxi driver lived in the village and was pointing out his old school etc. I wondered if it was possible to walk to the nearest beach ?
Rose and Mick.

Hi Rosemary and Mick , well back to the freezing cold, had a great time and thing are coming along great, a little disappointed that we could not see the tile samples and will have to choose them through email, but it cant be helped. Acron have had trouble with there supplies and have decided to ship them in from china but wont have the samples until beginning of february. They did ask if we could go back out by the middle of March but chance would be a fine thing. They also asked if we wanted a hob or a free standing cooker in the apartment, when we said a hob they told us we had to buy it now and leave it with them so it could be fitted into the work top, they give us the name of shop in Panjim, we went and were quoted a price for a black glass hob at 17,775 rs, i thought that was quite expensive so we had a look around and found Prestige smart kitchen on 18th June Road Panjim were we got pretty much the same for 7,545 rs, so it pays to shop around.
Hope you are both well and have a fab holiday, speak to you soon, take care Sue and Dave

Hi Sue and Dave I`ve been waiting to hear how you got on, if the tiles arrive while we are there I`ll try to let you know what the choice is like. Sounds like there was a bit of difference in the prices you were quoted on the hob did you pay the asking price or do you have to negotiate ? Did you like where the apartments are ? Sorry so many questions before you`ve even had time to unpack. Perhaps we should exchange private email addresses when we return. So we don`t bore people rigid.
Anyway glad to hear you had a good time and are home safe, speak soon
Rose and Mick.

Hi Rosemary, it is lovely were the apartments are, not much there and so peaceful. We have noticed a big difference in Candolim, big groups of younger people, thought Baga would be more there taste. No doubt you ll have a great time and when you get back send me a email [email protected] take care Sue

Hi all...

I'm going out to Goa on 10th March to sort out the fixtures etc ( Monarch permitting ! )... I've been told by Neville the Villa Maria project manager that I can have marble on all the floors, but he could'nt quote a firm price last November.

Interesting to hear of the big price differences for kitchen appliances,I had the same when I costed up air con units,3 stores,3 prices !!

I'll take a load more photos when I'm there and post them for you to see.

Does anyone want shots of any of the other developments at all ???

Hope you all had a great Christmas and ae planning your next trips to paradise.

Best wishes

Hi all just returned from Goa had a great trip as usual apart from Monarch we were delayed 18.5 hours outbound and just 3 on the return. Although we were booked into a nice hotel within walking distance of Manchester airport, it still dosen`t compensate for loosing a day of the holiday. But still we made the best of it. Anyway we were pleased with the progress of villa Maria although the centre of the development didn`t look very big to us, anyone know the approx size of the pool ? But it`s difficult to imagine it finished. The tiles had still not arrived from China so we couldn`t make any choices which was unfortunate as that was the main reason for going. We originally were going to travel to Goa in March but met Acron at the Manchester show, who told us the latest we could pick our tiles etc would be the end of January so we brought our holiday forward.
We had a look around the shops in Panjim at furnishings etc later on in our holiday we drove through Margoa and some of the shops there looked better, we didn`t stop and have a look but there seemed more choice. Anyway I`ve rattled on a bit so will close now hope everyone is well.
Rose and Mick.

Hi Rosemary, it soon flys over doesn't it. Think we are all a bit disappointed about the Tiles, same as you we were going in March then were told by Acron that we had to choose them by the end of January so we changed our plans and went. Did they say when they are expecting them?
We thought the central area was quite small for the pool and the landscaped gardens but I'm sure once its finished we will be quite surprise.
When are you planning to go back over? We wont be going until January, hope there's no problem with picking the keys up then.
Well bye for now and speak to you soon, take care Sue
