OH! Wonder if it's a Hong Kong thing? I plan to go into the VFS HK centre on Monday to see if they've received my passport back and I'll keep you posted. I'm just a bit worried as UK Decision Making Centre has yet to send out a formalised email to me re. a decision has been made. Not sure if I should even expect it.

Let me know how it goes for you!

Apparently a decision has been made on my application as of Thursday, 5th Oct (applying from Hong Kong, priority, bio: 28th Jul). Found out by emailing and calling UKVI, but to date, have not received any other formal decision made emails. Will be playing the waiting game until my passport arrives back into the country.

Will keep everyone posted.

Congratulations.
I applied one week before you did, on 20/07. I hoping I get a good news soon.

I got a "not straightforward" email on 4th of October. Sucks
Don't know what to do?

Thanks in advance.
From anecdotal evidence, it does seem like applications from countries that are considered high-risk are more likely to be delayed, but there have also been plenty of people from places like the US/Aus/Can delayed too. It must help the ECO not having to look at translations, though.

Hi Rosy1910. So the follow up email/call is still through Sheffield? Or should we contact UKVI Bangkok directly?

Scanned documents (VFS Manila) were acknowledged and received at Sheffield 10May17.

Anyone else from Philippines who's been approved?

My advice is to get hold of VFS Manila and if possible try to find some contact in the British Embassy to Philippines and get them fight for you. That's what I did and it helped.

Thanks. Hopefully it would work if calling from the Philippines or maybe I can get my husband to call directly from the UK.

Just got this off the UK GOV website so should work for you if you're calling from the Phillippines.
