Oh really, are you telling me you never drove 38km/h in a 30 zone. Well if you did I hope you took yourself to the police station and handed yourself in! People break traffic laws all the time, i just got caught.

I assume that those who've taken the high moral stance here hand themselves in to the local Police Station and confess their crime!
I'm not talking about excessive speeding but a bit over the limit or a spot of illegal parking is the norm for a lot of people based on the fact that they don't expect to be caught. When we get further into the system then non payment of a fine is a trickier problem and not something that I'd have thought was a good thing to do. Still, how many people wouldn't pay their fines if it was based on trust alone?

I'd just like to point out that at this point less than 60% of you think I should pay the fine!
How about that, looks like not everyone agrees with these moral highgrounders!

I think you had already made up your mind that you were not going to pay this fine, even before this post.
So why don't you just leave it at that, don't pay fine, and get over it.
I think safe to say you got the reaction you were looking for and are probably sitting back have a nice chuckle to yourself at the moment.

You claim less than 60% think you should pay the fine.
Yet only 10% agree with you.
On the other hand 90% think you should either pay the fine and/or you are a jerk.
