1) Cheap chicken wing night.
2) Salmon fishing, smoking and eating.
3) Pleasantly temperate summer weather, obviously west coast)
4) Sailing around the Gulf Islands.
5) You'll be better dressed than 95% of the population without even trying.

Hi Everyone,
In an attempt to stay positive about the move over I thought it may help to share my top 5 things about living in Canada, and hope to gain some from you all that I have not thought of.
1. Friendly people
2. Feel safe, less crime
3. Great takeaway food and a good cost
4. Pedestrians get the right of way
5. Watching NBA & NFL with out having to stay up into the early hours
Anything I have missed?

Great takeaway and great cost - not in this city!! Crap standards Crap choice (except pizza) and expensive
they even charge for delivery
+1 for being better dressed than 95% of the locals. Went out downtown wearing shirt, nice jeans and shoes, clean shaved and hair styled - Local lads turn up wearing baggy jeans faded T shirt rough trainers and baseball cap and they said I was making them look bad!!! I dont think they needed my help

Re: Top 5 things about Canada
1. Proper seasons - not just a blend of damp for the year.
2. Space to play. Sledding, fishing, ATVing. It's gonna take me a couple of years to get used to my nearest lake - and I've got 10's of thousands to choose from.
3. Wildlife. Deer, moose, bear, otter, beaver, eagles - almost all on a daily basis. Except the bears during winter......
4. Crime - or lack of..... A drunk making a nuisance will make the news. Shoplifters will be tracked down and charged accordingly.
5. Congestion - or lack of..... Gridlock here is 3 cars at a red light.

My top 5 in no particular order
1. Beaches and lakes - stunning
2. 4 proper seasons and length of them makes my year feel much longer - long miserable Spring, long hot summer, long warm beautiful Fall, long cold winter
3. Feel safer than I did in the UK, can walk the dog after dark, I dont feel afraid of a group of teens
4. Sweet potatoe fries and chicken wings
5. firepits and smores, the whole community feel where we live

Re: Top 5 things about Canada
In no particular order:
1.Amazing big blue skies and beautiful clear night skies filled with stars.
2.Stunning scenery and wildlife encounters.
3.Life is less stressful and we have more family fun together, especially outside summer and winter.
4.Lots of space, never feels crowded (just avoid Lake Louise during summer months)
5.Extreme weather- minus 40 this winter, last summer so hot, freaky electric storms and golf ball hail and I no longer need to own an umbrella!
I could go on and on............
