For me vegetarianism is the thin end of the wedge. Why kill plants as well. It's just as murderous as killing animals. You are still ending the life of an organism to extend your own.
No-one winges about the way that lions kill and eat their food. I think that this psuedo-humanitarianism is frankly pathetic.

Maybe I'll think about that the next time I pull off leaves that aren't quite dead.
Immigrants work in meat packing plants because the wages are low and the work is hard - most Canadians have better opportunities.
It's just as ignorant for McCartney to compare the seal harvest with the slave trade.
By the way, Sarah was using sarcasm.

You should also understand that many species of plant/animal only exist because they taste good to humans. If we suddenly decided not to eat beef, many species of cattle would go extinct. I guess if that ever happened McCartney would have something to protest about.

I just saw the McCartneys on Larry King (CNN). Larry let the McCartneys speak for about 55 minutes in the 1-hour long show. Danny Williams only spoke (uninterrupted) for about 5 minutes. For much of the time while Williams tried to speak, Mrs. McCartney was speaking over him with her propaganda - and she was very rude and very hypocritical.
As for Paul, when Williams invited him to come to Newfoundland to learn more about the salient issues regarding the seal hunt, he replied that he was already in Newfoundland and saw all that he could. Williams had to explain to Paul that he was actually in Prince Edward Island (another province) and not in Newfoundland!
I had a good laugh at the end when Williams told the McCartneys that they are being used and Mrs. McCartney replied, "we are not being used".
Paul looked like not too bad a guy who you could almost reason with, but his wife is just a bitch - beautiful, but still a bitch who you can't reason with. Williams is obviously a very smart man; too bad he was barely allowed to speak.

What on earth makes this meddlesome Merseysider imagine for one moment that his opinion is even the slightest bit more valid than that of Jimmy O'Ripshite from Ballyslapguttery? And he does, if anybody's seen Macca being interviewed, sanctimonious doesn't come close to descibing it.
There unfortunately appears to be some kind of character trait with many 'celebrities', whether it be Bono, Bardot, McCartney, Sting or that horrid little Ono creature, they all appear to be on some kind of ego trip, egomaniacs, the whole ****ing lot of them.
Awa' an' shite, Sir Paul, you and the lads were no' bad in New Brighton in '63, but you're full of shite the noo'.

hope the boycott of canadian seafood gets bigger now, and hopefully this massacre will be in the history books next year, along with other brutal practices that were once acceptable, ie bair baiting, fox hunting.
just a question guys...theres lots of nasty comments/insults on this site......my question to all of you critising heather and paul....what do you do to make the world a better place? whether for animals or humans.

And here I thought the 'x' in your username was some sort of health care reference!

When Jimmy O'Ripshite talks, only the person sat next to him reacts.
Both may or may not have valid arguements but which one will be heard the most?
