Default Fish & Chips in Calgary

Went to Sea, in McKenzie Towne, today and I have to report that they have the finest and closest to real Chips in Alberta. I had Halibut and my OH had Haddock, huge portion of chips, nice side of real hand made coleslaw and really good crispy batter. Good range of fish and sea food on the menu and they do take out wrapped in newspaper. We ate in and had it all washed down with a good strong pot of Yorkshire Tea.

Highly recommended and would urge anyone expats in Calgary yearning for good old fish & chips to get down there if you haven't already.

Around $30 for the both of us, I had two pieces of Halibut and Chips for $16 and the OH had 2 pieces of Haddock & chips for $14 I think plus two big pots of tea.........the portions where huge, next time I'd go for 1 piece of fish which brings he price down

Any sign of Mushy Peas on the menu?

Thats about the only saving grace for Joeys Only, the F&C are pretty poor but the do sell the Green Gold!

Sorry I am a Northerner!

They definitely need the mushy peas (i'm going to use Green Gold' from now on) on the menu. I'll check this place out ASAP. There's nothing like taking refuge from the cold with hot tea and fish and chips...reminds me of Blackpool.

If we have enough people interested in a BE meet, I would be happy to go down to the Chippy and arrange a deal !!!!!
