areas to avoid

Never forget the rough area in downtown Halifax - betwix Ahem Ave, Sackville St, Brunswick St and Rainnie Drive. The posse up on "the hill" identify themselves by dressing in drag. They pack more heat than a slow combustion stove. And, kid you not, I've seen a couple of light cannon slung about their ghetto. Talk about boyz-in-da-hood, this clan is one bunch of badass hombres

I'd say a great place to live in NS is Lunenberg - they have a fish museum, which is a great place to look at fish. They also have a nice boat in the harbor to look at if you'd like to look at a boat - it's called The Brownose.
Seriously - avoid the Cape Chignecto region; the poverty there is appalling (scenes reminiscent of Appalachian regions in USA).
Another slum area one should avoid is the bankrupt Pictou to Amherst region (actually, all the way up to Shediac in NB) - very hostile. After driving through this region my F-150 pickup was pock-marked with .22 slugs and plugged with crossbow bolts - had to pick them out with needle-nosed pliers and a cat's paw

I beg to differ - any true Canadian knows that the famous Lunenburg boat, The Brownose, is named after the infamous Prime Minister, Brian Mulroney.
