Any Regrets!!

I must admit, I priced it recently through the shaw website and obviously chose faster cable, more channels etc. I priced it at $160 which I thought was reasonable given all the options I had gone for.

I would be truly amazed if you could get 5mb plus internet, all the channels (HD etc) free UK calls (local and long distance) and free international calls (1000 mins a month) for 17.50 GBP a month - all of which the other poster referred to (from a Canadian perspective). i.e., no matter how much one uses the phone, the price remains the same.
We had all of the above when we are in the UK and the price was very comparable to what it costs in Canada. (From memory Canada was slightly cheaper) I doubt very much that prices have come down that much.

But to be honest, who moves half way across the world only to return home due to the cost of a multimedia package

You're right, it's not a huge difference when you compare apples with apples. Virgin Media will charge you ~£57 a month for everything. Mega fast fibre optic BB, all movies & sports etc, free national calls but you pay 2p a minute for international on top.

If there's one product that deserves a boycott it's Charmin. The television adverts with the bear and the message than "less bits flake off and get stuck in your arse" is revolting and extremely unlikely to be true; the product of a diseased imagination. Every roll purchased puts more images of cracks encrusted with wet filth on prime time television. Buy some other brand.

and your recommendation is .....????J

Claggy Waggy bear very funny, just the thought of all those little clagnuts (a word that takes me back to my Army days)
I have no idea what toilet paper we have apart from the fact that I know it doesnt have any diamond weave in it and as far as I know there are no bits left stuck to my bum after use either.
Although I have to admit to not dragging a weight up my butt to test it properly. Then again I don't spray the toilet paper to wet it before I use it? Sigh I am so unscientific when it comes to road testing toilet paper. Of course if you went to Australia you would have to switch to this Aussie toilet paper for men and wouldnt have any sticking or dust problems

Andrex, what luxury, dusty and all ! Do they still have that gawd awful San Izal shiny stuff ? Almost like greaseproof paper ! I remember that stuff as a kid. Interesting that we have toilet seats inbound and toilet paper outbound. Different strokes for different folks eh !

Edit - just checked Shaw - basic phone, internet and cable is 76.90. I think that is only around 30 or so channels - tv is crap here anyway. We bought a pvr and canceled all the fancy channels.

Indeed. Last week we bought crab legs, cheese, lamb chops, a palette of chicken broth and a computer. I believe I picked up the bog rolls and a couple of hundred frozen baguettes while they were installing eight new tyres. Strange combinations on the Costco shopping list.

Indeed. I miss the booze aisle though. So parochial in terms of booze regulations.

We pay Sky £17.50 a month for the same thing.
