I have it on the highest authority that Brussels is attempting to enforce its resolution banning buckets in favour of le godet... The British government is standing firm at this time.....
But I wouldn't hold yer breath. Its only a matter of time til they capitulate

In any case the point was it was a piece of evidence upon which people could comment - rather than the "I think The sun shines out of Tibetan managers bums because I like Tibet and don't you dare say a bad word about Tibet" type of comments that are endemic on BE.

I doubt it. Management style change very slowly.

The issue I have with people's opinions or analysis is that they say things like 'People can't drive'. If they said things like, 'in my opinion, these x factors (realistic verifiable factors) contribute to y and that therefore z is sometimes observed..' .
It's like when people say there is no 'class' here and rolleyes....
They seem to, in my opinon, mix up cultural factors of social systems with structural factors of social systems. <= This is a valid, if general, statement and would be understood by an anthropologist... (moreorless). But I can't be arsed to explain it .

I got your point, and it is valid.

Interesting take on it. I think it has some validity. I might be tempted to expound on this, but I don't have a horse in this race, and I'm on this thread for the factor.

All I am saying that everyone has opinions and they are usually worthless.
Factual evidence on the other hand has some credibility.
Its hard to argue with the current UKP- AUD exchange rate etc.

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. The problem is when some posters talk out of them....
