That would never happen in the UK.

Re: That would never happen in the UK.
Hmmm
what would never happen in the UK?
A walk in a tropical rainforest.
A swim on a massive coral reef
A desert sunset
etc etc
I could produce a long long list, and in the same way I could produce a long list of what can happen in the UK that can't happen here.
The truth is Australia and the Uk are different countries with different features, so there is absolutely no point in comparing them - a mistake many people make here on BE.
On the other hand both countries are populated by homo sapiens - of all types. So you will get robbed, beaten up, murdered, cheated, laughed at, punched, spat on, kicked and an endless list of other things, in both countries.
Anyone with thinks either the people of the UK or the people of Australia are any better than the other is just a plain small minded fool.
I am in Indonesia now. Anything that can happen to me in the UK or Australia can happen to me here. I have experienced stupidity, kindness, love, generosity and all manner of things here, just as I have in the UK, and in Australia.
This is a pointless, stupid thread created in an attempt to wind people up. Sadly Chris, it just makes you look a fool.
Its a pity you don't travel more, and experience more of life and the world. You might have fewer generalisations about people and places.

Re: That would never happen in the UK.
I like to deal in researched facts, not gibberish opinion.
Are UK management more authoritarian than Australian? The subject could start a debate that goes on for weeks on BE. but the facts are here:
https://www.managers.org.uk/sites/de...ull_Report.pdf
See - its not my subjective opinion, but objective information based upon research.
When we talk about what would or would not happen - can we support it with q few facts and leave the BS where it belongs.
