Thanks everyone.
At 12.45am this morning he woke up in pain and had to have his morphine, when he did get back to sleep he was shouting - although he doesent remember.
He seems better at home, I think sometimes hospitals can only do so much.

OMG Sam, I turn my back on BE for a couple of weeks and look what's happened
I got your pm only today as we've only just returned from our holiday on the coast of Washington state. I've read all the posts and your blog in an attempt to catch up. Thankfully Abdel appears to be home. Please keep us updated. I am so sorry I wasn't around for you. Love you lots and a big hug for Abdel

Well hes needing the morphine at nights, he had a bad day yesterday with pain and his breathing, he went for a little walk as physio told him he should do daily walks.
He is actually in bed now as he was in pain. Ive got to take him to the doctors in a minute for his blood test to check his clotting times for warfarin.
I think he has an xray next week to see what his blood clots are doing.
One minute he seems 'normal' and the next he is in pain/tired - I guess that is to be expected.

Armed with his bag of medication and warfarin card

He is struggling big time not working and having his arm in a sling. I want to photograph the hard swelling on his side - it looks like a huge bulge from the side of his T shirt, rather marvellous it is.
Actually one side of him has turned dark purple and its spreading round his stomach.
Funny how they cant repair rips, his chest sort of looks mashed, his ribs are stacked - I wonder how that will heal?

I'm sure he is happier to be home with you than stuck in the hospital...and he gets to watch you playing nurse

but hey why spoil a good life with a marriage
you just said something serious there
