Thinking of you PP

To digress a little bit -- something I always wondered about (and never got round to asking) what was the final outcome of your pole dancing fiasco, Sam ? Were they able to straighten out the deformity on you leg ? I remember being quite upset about it ....

I cant wear high shoes and my ankle swells up in hot weather.
The fracture itself has healed - aches a bit in cold weather. But as for the ankle, well its stuffed. You can have surgery but the consultant said the success rate wasnt that high, I can put up with it anyway - no more high shoes.
I remember people saying 'how did you break your leg?'
'Lesbian pole dancing club in Patong' I would reply.
'No really, how did you do it?'

You are a bit of a walking miracle though, I reckon you would give Jesus a run for his money.

This type of fracture can take a while to show up, mine took a couple of xrays.
They did xray the leg when he first came in and it didnt show then, it only became noticeable once he got home and started weight bearing.
He looks like Optimus Prime from that film, we could call him Optimus Chef or Robo Chef

I am tempted to hang several pairs of knickers from the velcro of the splint and turn him into a panty tree.
Anyway, how are things with you these days?

I snapped the ligament in the side of my ankle - the one that stops or minimises your ankle 'rolling' when you trip in high shoes

I thought you were just being stubborn about not wanting surgery -- that's what I was upset about, I remember now
And mad at the doctors for not diagnosing it earlier
Here in The States it would have been fodder for a huge lawsuit
That said, I admire your positive attitude -- you're the one who has to live with it

I'd hate not being able to wear high heels

Sam - so sorry - have been back in UK for a break and not been on BE for a while. Shocked to read your thread.
Hope you are baring up okay and pleased to read that Mr PP is on the road to recovery.
I fully understand what you mean by not wanting him to drive again though. Someone rear ended my car last Saturday while I was stationary at a junction waiting to turn right. Stupid woman mis-judged the size of her car and the space between my car and the kerb, thought she could fit through, didn't even slow down and shunted me at a speed of 60kmph. I am currently signed off work with bad whiplash injuries and am now seriously considering whether I want my son to learn to drive here.
for a speedy recovery for your hubby and a bit of a relax for you x x

They still cant get the keys out of the ignition and the boot is buckled, the other car was also a write off.
So I am going to get ID cards for both of us now, they did get his driving permit eventually but only managed to get me because there was a missed call on his phone.
I found today incredibly distressing, I had to get the details for the DPI for the crash report and was in tears - it was very difficult to hear.
A horrible day today.

Sorry to hear you are having such a horrible day. It must have brought it all back. Mr PP seems to have been so lucky to get out of that. I hope he continues his recovery and it's not to stressful on you. Onwards and upwards.

((((()))))Is there anyone close to you there that can be with you when you go through these difficult things? Have faith that things will get better and allow yourself to cry as much as you need. All the best to both of you.

May I just say that I have snarfed down a bacon and egg roll, a can of Red bull and I might graduate to some chocolate as I have period pain.
So there.
Today is another day - onwards and upwards.

Mr PP is very lucky on two counts: 1. He survived. 2. He has you.
All the best
