An interesting critique of the walking dead finale. My critique says ‘meh’

Disappointing was the word I selected to describe it...

Meh and disappointing just about sums it up.

Glad that A bit the big one though (see how good I am not to do spoilers?) - whiney cow.

I really liked her in the comics, but she didn't translate as well in the show.

I'm here on the 'puter while DD and OH try to catch up with season 3. I'm afraid zombies just don't float my boat.

Went and saw Star Trek Into Darkness the other night, not in 3D though. Was pretty cool.

An IT guy who's a Trekkie? Never!

I've been catching up on recently released movies lately. Watched Prometheus the other day, which was not as bad as I'd heard. Thought it was quite alright actually. I also watched Total Recall 2012 yesterday, which made me fall in instant lust for Kate Beckinsale. I know what my recall would be!

Agreed. It seems everyone these days is obsessed with TV and/or sci-fi. I've really noticed it this last few years.
I overheard 2 20 somethings (they weren't even kids) talking their way through their lives...full of 'like', and this 'show' and that 'show'. It was as if TV defines their day...and their lives.

Me included, that's all I do these days - go to work, go home watch telly. If it's summer add "attend 2 or 3 firecalls" a week to the list but it's mainly telly.

I usually only watch 1 hour a night, sometimes 2 if there is something that I really want to see. Even then it is usually downloads not TV

Internet, study, reading for the rest

Harsh? It does seem sometimes that TV does define people in a way it didn't a generation ago - I don't think we are richer for the increasing content or streams, apart from instant choice. I fear my kids will grow up talking in that sort of TV babble. Who knows. When I was 17 I was jumping out of aeroplanes and doing it for real - the people I knew just wanted to watch it on TV and say it was 'cool'. 'Can you, like, choose the colour of your parachute?' Nowadays I'd rather people go for a run or exercise, instead they want to watch Episode 2, Season 4 (this obsession with owning 'seasons') of some weirdball series that will do nothing for their intellect or tell them anything about their world. Mention to parts of the office (generally it is the IT support/ ops people) that you read the newspaper and am interested in current affairs...not so popular!

I'm the same. I only watch about 2 hours of TV a week, and maybe one movie on SBS.
