Dunno why this thread was closed, probably due to inactivity. Anyway it is open again.
My son is mad keen to see this (me not so) so tried to book tickets for IMAX

Their website has crashed!

If you just trundle around the internet, it seems like you can piece the plot together without actually going to see it...

I'll have another look.

Nowhere near as much fun, and it's actually starting to get difficult to avoid spoilers and such, which is annoying. I can't fault people for being excited, but it's getting hard to avoid their optimism!

Yep, I won't do much researching for that reason. The trailer is enough.

So Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher appear in the trailer ...... Are they going to unleash Mark Hamill somewhere. Got to have a bit of Luke Skywalker.

OK it looks like they are holding back Mark Hamill shrouded in mystery.

Carrie Fisher looks a real mess these days - the benefits of a coke oriented lifestyle I guess. But I think the CGI guys have had a tough job of prettying her up...

Ha haha. I don't think Mark Hamill looks to good either. I guess they are supposed to be senior citizens now so we can't expect too much ..... on the flip side Harrison looks awesome ....

Thing is, a look at the poster, a look at the trailer, a little thought about symmetry, design and anagrams - and you can sketch out a pretty good storyline for the film without too much hassle.

Not expecting too much from the film given that J.J.Abrams is behind it. He's already turned the Star Trek franchise into a dumbed-down, idiotic waste of time with just lots of punches, chases and explosions.

Wonder if Star Wars is about to go down the drain too...

Turned it from what?

Enquiring minds need to know

What ever he's done to the Star Wars franchise, it can't be as bad as the prequels. Which we've just suffered through again on our 'Star Wars Saturday' film nights - at least it's proper Star Wars tonight (can't bring myself to refer to it as A New Hope)
